Granlee Ranch

A mare who carried foals her whole life is finally getting a pasture of her own.

She's home now, and sponsors are how she stays fed, sound and asked nothing of.

The two-minute view

We're still cutting the video. Until it's up, here is the whole thing in words.

Granlee Ranch takes in horses that have run out of options: brood mares worn down by years of foals, the foals themselves, horses a week away from a kill pen. They get feed, water, a vet, hooves trimmed and a fence line to stand behind for as long as they need it.

We're on a small place in Midlothian, Texas, about forty minutes south of Dallas, run by three partners and a handful of volunteers who come out before work.

Sponsoring is what keeps it steady. Fifteen dollars a month is hay and vet money, and every month you get a photo of your horse and a short note about how they're actually doing.

Meche's story

Meche is an older brood mare who spent her whole life carrying foals for someone else, in conditions no horse should live in. Jennifer met her three years ago while volunteering and never stopped thinking about her. In September 2026 we raised the money to buy her freedom. Here she owes nobody anything: she gets love, food, water and a pasture of her own, and nothing is asked of her ever again.

What sponsoring costs

Every tier pays for the same things — feed, vet visits, hoof trims. What changes is how much of the horse's life comes back to you.
